    7-12 Band

Meets Tuesday, Thursday and alternating Fridays

Band students in grades 7-12 are working on Pep Band and Concert Repertoire.  Students will be using a Personal Progress Chart to help them understand their music grade starting in the second quarter.  Students in 7-12 Band are at different levels and will monitor their progress on an individual basis.  Amongst the expectations for this class will be for each student to individually progress, using a method book and passing off a certain number of excercises per week.  Students will also be required to pass off on each of our concert repertoire, select and practice solos and scales.  Students will make an appointment when they are ready to perform their music for me.  My recommendation is that they pace themselves throughout the quarter, in order for them to not accumulate too much for late in the quarter and not have time to pass off on their requirements for their music grade.  All students will be able to re-take their performance pass-off until they are satisfied with their grade, as time permits.  Most of our concert repertoire music will be available to listen to on the resources tab of this site.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at xiomara.orue@hobson.k12.mt.us

Students may sign up to play music for me in class.  Students may perform on FLIPGRID: https://flipgrid.com/9v3qlp .  If you choose to use FLIPGRID, you MUST email me to let me know that you have completed a pass off assignment, so that I can look for you.  Please let me know if you need help or have any questions.
